Smart AKIS consortium members will meet next September 6 and 7 in Wageningen University and Research Center, Netherlands, hosted by DLO partner. The meeting will focus on the development of Smart AKIS main services and outputs, namely the Inventory of Smart Farming Solutions with a selection of 400 commercial SFT solutions and promising research based results, and the identification of the needs, innovative ideas and interest of the farmer community on relation to the adoption of SFT solutions in France, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Serbia, Spain and UK. These services will be made available to the Smart AKIS target groups by the start of 2017, through the Smart Farming Community Platform on www.smart-akis.com. In the meeting Smart AKIS partners will also have the change to get to know the Data Driven Dairy Decisions for Farmers (4D4F) Thematic Network, focusing on the role which dairy animal and environmental sensors can play in collecting real time information to help make more informed decisions in dairy farming. www.4d4f.eu.
