Smart AKIS in Bologna and Phoenix
This week has hold the participation of 2 Smart AKIS partners on 2 international events: CEMA – European Agricultural Machinery participated on the organisation of EIMA International Agricultural and Gardening Exposition 2016, held in Bologna, Italy, from November 9th to 13th. Specifically, CEMA took part on the conference “Agricultural mechanization: the new European Agenda”, promoted by FederUnacoma in collaboration with CEMA and Agrievolution, on November 9th, where Smart AKIS network got presented. Further information on: http://www.eima.it On November 9th, Maria Kernecker, researcher from Leibniz Center for Agricultural Landscape Research-ZALF, took part on the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America, and Soil Science Society of America 2016 International Annual Meeting, titled “Resilience Emerging from Scarcity and Abundance,” held from November 6th to 9th, in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Further information on: https://www.acsmeetings.org/ Specifically, Maria participated as a lecturer on the workshop titled “On-farm Research: Advancing Precision Ag tools” where she provided an “Overview of Farmers’ Interests Regarding Smart Farming Technologies throughout Europe“. The lecture focused on the preliminary results arising from the survey to more than 180 farmers conducted in the framework of Smart AKIS.
