Successful start of Smart AKIS Innovation Workshops
The first wave of Innovation Workshops on Smart Farming by Smart AKIS are well underway.
In the last 2 weeks the first three workshops have taken place in Netherlands, Serbia and Spain:
- Delphy and Wageningen University & Research held on March 9th a first Innovation Workshop in Netherlands, in Ede with 47 attendants.
- BioSense and Vojvodina Provincial Authority held on March 14th a first Innovation Workshop in Serbia, in Novi Sad, with 40 attendants,
- INTIASA and INI held on March 16th a first Innovation Workshop in Spain, in Villaba, with 75 attendants.
Presentations of the Workshops will be available in the coming days on the Events section of the webportal.
This first wave of Innovation Workshops is aimed at presenting the results of the Network so far, mainly the Smart Farming technologies database of the Smart Farming Platform and the results from the survey conducted with more than 270 farmers in Europe about their interests and needs on relation to Smart Farming.
As a result of the Workshops some preliminaty needs and challenges are being identified taking into consideration farmers’ needs for further adopting Smart Farming technologies, that will be delved more in depth in further Innovation Workshops.
